• Responsible for providing technical support over the telephone for customers in US, UK and Asia on the operation or maintenance of customer products.
• Assist phone customers by diagnosing problems and providing resolutions for technical and service issues.
• Responsible for customer satisfaction through effective handling of customer problems. Ensure proper escalation procedures are followed.
• Provide first-level technical support on basic operational or maintenance of our software products using documented procedures and available tools.
• Use troubleshooting techniques and tools to identify products that are defective and follow guidelines in issuing service calls/contacts.
• Escalate problems when unable to make proper determination.
• Accurately discerns the appropriate situations in which to escalate a customer’s issue to other specialty groups.
• Keen sense of team spirit.

• Graduate with work experience of 0-3 years, preferably in the customer service industry (such as call centers etc.).
• Thorough knowledge of Windows Applications (MS Office), basic Microsoft Operating Systems, etc.
• Have a keen interest in the Internet and have strong working knowledge of computers.

• Configure our application on client’s request or requests from our US based application consultants.
• Analyze asset management data using Cognos reporting tool and MS excel for business intelligence.
• Create summarized professional reports in Excel, MS Word or Power point for clients and email them monthly.

• Excellent computer skill and good working knowledge of MS Office products including MS Excel, PowerPoint & Word.
• Undergraduate degree in any field but proficiency in desktop computer use required.
• Ability to deal with complex situations and collaborate effectively with local and or remote personnel in order to provide fast and effective problem resolutions.

• Work with US team to design, develop and maintain High Availability (HA) oracle RAC architecture.
• Perform periodic backup & restore of oracle DB.
• Proactive monitoring and problem resolution, trend analysis, capacity planning and management, vulnerability management, procedure and configuration documentation as well as project participation for any new and related projects.
• Provide Database support during off US business hours that may include weekends.

• Certified Oracle Master or an Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
• Successful completion of post-secondary education in Computer Sciences or Information Technology.
• A minimum of five years of full-time, progressive experience in Oracle database administration and management. Experience should include good exposure to some of the following:
  
  1.) In-depth understanding of Oracle 9i/10g installation & configuration.
  2.) Strong experience in backup restore/recovery processes and procedures.
  3.) Practical experience with RMAN backup and recovery is required.
  4.) Oracle 10g & 10g Grid control; Conversant with Performance tuning Concepts,
  5.) Methodology and Hands on experience is required.
  6.) Oracle 10g, DataGuard, & RAC architecture
  7.) Administration experience with Oracle enterprise application, Linux admin skills,
  8.) Ability to work through TARS with Oracle Corporation technical support.



• Experience with Oracle PL/SQL.
• Knowledge of Java will be a plus but not required.
