Customer Case Study: Emerson’s Branson Applied Technology Group

	Overview For Branson’s Series 2000 Welder, Cyber Group has taken on a significant role in the system engineering and program management of their embedded-control software development projects, code development, hardware
integration, and system testing.

Problem

The Series 2000 Welder needed additional functionalities that necessitated significant software upgrades, as well as redesign of the electronics to achieve cost reduction, enhanced performance, and improved software capabilities.

Cyber Group Solution

New electronics and software design released for manufacturing.
A program with connectivity over the Internet to selectively configure welders at remote locations and record welder configuration information at the Branson factory.
A remote monitoring and diagnostics program for remote connections to welders, with the ability for either high-speed or dial-up Internet connections.

Customer Case Study: Emerson Motor Company's Automotive and Precision Motor Division

Overview

Emerson Automotive & Precision Motors was required to develop and to implement a configuration and control setup program for one of their precision Hurst Brushless DC motors.

Problem

The company was under severe time restraint to develop this program, which included the system engineering, detailed software design, coding, and integration within three months. The objective necessitated four major functions:

Set motor operating parameters
Provide diagnostics
Display current operation
Provide control

Customer Case Study: Mercury Instruments, Inc.

Overview

Mercury Instruments sets the standard worldwide for innovation in the design and manufacture of precision instruments for the natural gas industry. From wellhead to burner tip, Mercury provides the finest instrumentation available for measuring and monitoring gas pressure, temperature, volume, and flow.

Problem

Mercury’s customers required a solution whereby data could be collected from gas metering instruments in the field, and field-level reprogramming of the instruments could be performed in the field. The solution required that field personnel be able to accomplish these tasks from their vehicle, particularly in inclement and adverse weather conditions.
